Clarity

Clarity is a very important aspect of the diamond. This determines how clean the diamond is. The more inclusions or imperfections the diamond has, the lower it falls in grade. Grades range from “IF” or VVS1 to I3. The higher the grade, the higher the price. Clarity is what helps the natural beauty of that diamond shine, the better the cut, the better the diamond, the higher the price.

Typical commercial quality diamonds fall within the I1-I3 range (poor). These are the diamonds found in most retail & online stores, even though they are not represented as that. The majority of diamonds around the world are being represented as “Si” quality, which is necessarily all true, Just because someone is telling you the diamond is “Si” does not necessarily mean they are telling the truth, most the time, they are just reading whatever is printed on the tag. A salesman is a salesman, and that will never change 😊
